Nancy A. Berg Tuesday January 2, 2007

Nancy A. Berg, 85, formerly of Superior, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospice, Duluth.

She was born Dec. 22, 1921, in Superior, daughter of Evelyeen (McGrath) and Robert Schibret.

Nancy was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King and a former member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Superior 1190.

She enjoyed watching "Wheel of Fortune," playing bridge and was known by many as a chocoholic. Her most enjoyable pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Lester in 1983, son, Dennis in 1993 and sister, Roberta Karlson.

Survivors include her sons, David J. Berg, Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert W. (Pamela) Berg, Superior; grandchildren, Travis Berg, Phoenix, A.Z., Andrea (Sean) Sengenberger, Superior, Toby Berg, La Crosse, Lindsey Berg, Superior, Jenna (Matt) Whitford, Rapid City, S.D., and Annie Berg, Superior; step-granddaughter, Melanie (Tim) Farmakes, Superior; great-grandchildren, Ian Sengenberger, Superior, Maggie Sengenberger, Superior, Cody Berg, La Crosse, Zachary Farmakes, Superior, and Luke Farmakes, Superior; and friends, Barbara Lanctot and Brenda Allen.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Avenue and North 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
